How Booking Works at Lavender Waves Farm

A styled celebration table in the lavender field

People ask us how booking works here, so here it is, plainly. There is no booking engine on this site and no calendar where you pick a date, a tour type, and a group size. Different things at the farm are booked different ways, and this post walks through each one — open days, private tours, seasonal sessions, weddings and events, and the Farm Suite — so you end up in the right lane the first time.

Come on an open day

The farm is not open to the public on a regular schedule. We open for a handful of seasonal open days each year — peak-bloom weekends in the summer — and for our Fall Festival each October. On an open day you can wander the fields at your own pace, cut your own lavender while it's in bloom (bring your own scissors and a basket), meet the animals, and stop in the shop. Dates and admission details for each open day are announced on our Events page and our social pages, and when tickets are sold in advance, the ticket link is posted there too.

Outside of those scheduled days, the fields aren't open for wandering on your own. If you want the farm on your own schedule, the next two options are how that happens.

Book a private tour for your group

A private tour is a dedicated hour or two on the farm with our staff. We start with a short history of the farm, then visit the animals — the poultry enclosure, the llama and alpaca pasture, and outside the camel pasture — and finish with a lavender talk covering the varieties we grow and how the harvest works. The shop is open afterward, and the picnic tables are yours to use at the end of the tour.

Private tours are booked for groups of 20 or more at $20 per person — a $400 minimum — because a tour means staff dedicated to your group for the full visit. Kids under age 2 are free. School groups, garden clubs, teams, and families book tours by emailing lavenderwfevents@gmail.com with a date and group size, or calling the farm line at 401-203-4919. Full details are on our Private Tours page. If your group is smaller than 20, come on a public open day instead — same fields, same animals.

Seasonal sessions and tickets

Some things at the farm are ticketed by the session, in limited seats — Lavender Yoga and sound baths, for example. When a session is on the calendar, tickets for it are posted on the Events page, and the ticket link there is how you reserve your spot; if no tickets are posted, nothing is currently scheduled.

Book a wedding or an event

Weddings, parties, and gatherings are booked through our events side, by email — there is no online checkout for a venue rental. Write to lavenderwfevents@gmail.com with your date and a rough guest count and we'll take it from there. What you're booking is the venue: the grounds, the gazebo, and the event tent, with setup and breakdown inside your rental hours. We don't have on-site catering — our hosts hire their own caterers, mobile bars, florists, and vendors, which makes every event here a little different. Packages and pricing are on the Weddings and Events pages.

Stay in the Farm Suite

The Farm Suite is booked through Airbnb, and only through Airbnb — dates, rates, and availability all live on the listing. It's our Superhost stay, rated 4.99 out of 5 from more than 370 reviews: a luxuriously rustic suite on the second floor with views over the lavender field, and the only rental on the farm. It sleeps 4, it's adults only with no pets, and there's a two-night minimum. Because it's the only stay here, suite guests have the whole farm to wander during their visit — that's the other way to get the fields to yourself. See The Farm Suite page, or check your dates on our Airbnb listing.

The short version

Open days are announced here and tickets are posted by link when they're on sale. Workshops sell by ticket link when they're scheduled. Private tours — 20 or more at $20 per person — and all weddings and events are booked by email. The Farm Suite is booked on Airbnb. If you're not sure which lane fits what you have in mind, email us and ask. We'd rather point you the right way than have you guess.
